Classic Composite Doors - Specification

Door Slab & Construction

Our Classic Composite door slabs are manufactured using 2mm impact-resistant GRP SMC skins, available in grained or smooth finishes across a wide range of styles and colours, including wood-stain options.

The stiles and rails are made from a water-resistant pure PVC polymer, reinforced with LVL (laminated veneered lumber) timbers with a minimum density of 570 kg/m³ for added strength and stability.

The SMC skins and sub-frame assembly are fully bonded using a urethane adhesive resin, and the door is foam-filled with CFC-free polyurethane to improve thermal efficiency and reduce heat transfer. As part of a correctly specified doorset assembly, this construction can achieve U-values as low as 0.8 W/m²K (subject to doorset specification).
